Booking and duration

An online booking is a free request, with no online payment. It becomes firm once AtlanticBike confirms it by email, with the link to the contract. The amount shown is the cheapest combination of rates for the requested period.

The customer may change or cancel the booking free of charge from the customer area until forty-eight hours before the rental starts. After that, any change goes through the shop, by phone on +33 5 56 03 43 23.

A rental day runs from the shop’s opening to its closing. Any day started is due.

Use and return

An identity document is requested when the bike is handed over.

The bike is used with care and returned with its accessories, on the agreed date and at the agreed place.
Lending to a third party, riding on the beach and any modification of the bike are prohibited.
Loss, theft, damage and missing accessories are deducted from the deposit, on the basis of the repair or replacement cost.

Deposit and liability

A deposit is left at handover, per bike: €350 for a hybrid or mountain bike, €1,200 for an electric bike, €1,400 for an electric mountain bike, €1,100 for a tandem, €250 for a child’s bike. Each option carries its own deposit, shown when you book and paid when you collect the equipment. The deposit is returned when the equipment comes back in good condition.

The renter is responsible for the equipment from handover to return. Any accident, theft or loss is reported to AtlanticBike within twenty-four hours.

Complaints and mediation

In case of dispute, the customer first writes to contact@atlanticbike.fr. Failing a solution, they may refer the matter free of charge to the consumer mediator: CNPM Médiation Consommation, 27 avenue de la Libération, 42400 Saint-Chamond, France, +33 9 83 24 74 88, https://www.cnpm-mediation.org.

Withdrawal right

Under article L221-28 12° of the French Consumer Code, the withdrawal right does not apply to bike rental, a leisure service supplied on a specific date or period. Free cancellation until forty-eight hours before the rental starts remains available.
